"I was honored when I was nominated to be part of the 2024 Leadership JC Class. I will admit I was a little intimidated because the majority of the class were more than 20 years younger than me. My husband and children reminded me that my company nominated me because they see leadership qualities in me regardless of my age. They were right. I learned so many things, not just from all the wonderful places we visited in our community, but also from observing my class members be confident, positive role models. By the time our class put on the Battle of the Brews event, I was a strong team player and felt I helped make the event a success. At a time when most people are thinking of retiring, I want to continue my career. Being a member of the 2024 Leadership Jefferson City Class has taught me it's never too late to be a better leader.”
