
State of Education April 23 - Tickets Now on Sale
The Chamber will hold State of Education at 11:30 a.m. April 23 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel. State of Education is taking the place of the State of the City & County which traditionally occurs every other year.
Presenting sponsors for the State of Education are Hitachi Energy and SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital. Co-sponsors include Morris Packaging, Unilever and MU Health Care. Our dessert sponsor is The Architects Alliance and our Leadership JC Host sponsor is Nabholz Construction Corporation. A portion of the proceeds will go to support the Partners in Education (PIE) program which has been co-sponsored by the Chamber and Jefferson City School District for more than 30 years. The PIE program includes more than 40 business partners and 30 schools.
The April 23 program includes two different panel discussions. Confirmed panelists from K-12 education include Bryan McGraw, superintendent at Jefferson City School District, Ron Vossen, president of Helias Catholic High School, and Ben Meldrum, superintendent of Blair Oaks R-II School District.
In addition, a higher education panel includes Dr. John Moseley, president of Lincoln University, Dr. Shawn Strong, president of State Technical College of Missouri, and Dr. Brent Bates, president of State Fair Community College.
